Will of Marie Anne Thérèse Ombline Gonneau, widow Panon Desbassayns. 1807
Madame Desbassayns drew up her first will on 20 November 1807 at the age of 52.
In this act, independent of that of 1845, she wanted to reward her deserving slaves. They were not emancipated, but received land, huts and pensions for life. She even gave them slaves to serve them. Some could choose their master.
